Holiday Events in Sequim and Port Angeles

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The lights are up, the halls are decked, and Sequim and Port Angeles have plenty of fun and festive holiday events coming up.

Windermere Toy Drive 2018

 

Windermere Real Estate is collecting Toys for Tots, December 1-14, 2018. The mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is to ensure that every less fortunate child in Clallam County knows there is hope for the future, and receives a shiny new toy this Christmas Season. Soroptimist Gala Gift Show
December 1, 9am – 4pm at the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 Fir St.

Benefit for the Port Angeles Fine Art Center: Silent Auction & Art Sale
Date: December 6, 2018 – December 8, 2018
VIP Night (Thursday, 5:30-7pm) – $25. Friday and Saturday – free to the public.
Presented for auction and sale are 40+ original artworks collected by longtime PAFAC supporter Natalie Spiegel. The eclectic collection is comprised of sculptures, cast paper, watercolor, ceramics, fine art prints, and more. It features works by well-known artists including Yaacov Agam, Frank Gallo, Fumio Kitoaka, and Christine McHorse. The gallery will be open to the public for bidding Friday, Dec. 7, 10am – 4pm. The Nutcracker Cracked Up

A quirky take on the classic Nutcracker tale, reinvented with dance, dialogue and comedic disarray. An original adaptation by OTA.

Port Angeles Symphony Holiday Concert
December 8, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center, 304 E. Park Ave.
$15 seniors/students, $18 general seating, $25-$35 for reserved premium seating. Youth 16 and under free when accompanied by an adult.
Join your Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra — and Chorus — for a night of holiday favorites and classics. The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s “Messiah,” selections from Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker,” “Winter” from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons,” a Hanukkah Suite and a Christmas carol sing-along are among the highlights. Maestro Jonathan Pasternack and choral director Joy Lingerfelt lead the orchestra and singers; Charlotte Marckx of Seattle is guest soloist. OTA Story Slam

Holiday Mishaps is the theme for this month’s Story Slam. Story Slam emcee will choose ten tellers from the audience. Teller will be randomly chosen and will have five minutes to tell a true, personal story on the theme.

 

Shop til You Drop
In Downtown Port Angeles, December 19th, 4-8pm
An evening of fun and shopping as more than 30 local businesses open their doors from 4 -8 pm for those last minute Christmas gift ideas! In addition to special sales and there will also be fun activities, refreshments and more.

 

Sequim Farmers Market Holiday Fair
Saturday, December 22, 9 AM at the GUY COLE CENTER – CARRIE BLAKE PARK
Over 30 local vendors are moving indoors for this special event! There is no better place on the peninsula to start your holidays off right! You will find expertly hand crafted items such as pottery, etched glass, one-of-a-kind wearable arts, candles and soaps, hand sewn fashions, quilts, lavender, custom pet accessories, and even spices and wines and teas….just to name a few! Blue Mountain Bakery is sponsoring a cookie decorating project for the kiddos and the Sequim Food Bank will be on hand to wrap your purchases! Winter Ice Village Port Angeles 2018Ice Skating Rink in Port Angeles
The Winter Ice Village on Front St in downtown PA will be open 9am-9pm, Mon-Sat, and 11am-9pm Sun through January 6th. $15 for adults, $10 for kids and seniors. Skates included with entry fee.
